A lot of patients need something a commercial pharmacy simply can't provide. A compounded medication is what our pharmacists prepare when that's the case, using individual ingredients selected to meet one specific patient's needs. Regular pharmacies dispense. We prepare. That gap is where most compounding requests come from. A patient prescribed a strength that no manufacturer produces, or one who reacts to a common filler, has nowhere to turn at a regular pharmacy. At ours, those situations have solutions.
• Prescribed dose not available commercially? We make it to the exact milligram a provider ordered, not the nearest approximation.
• A patient with a sensitivity to lactose or red dye doesn't have to avoid their medication. We remove the ingredient and compound a version they can use.
• Swallowing pills is a barrier for some patients. We prepare the same medication as a liquid or dissolving tablet when that's what they need.
