Understanding the Difference

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (bHRT)

bHRT involves personalized formulations prepared based on provider-directed prescriptions to meet individual patient needs. These formulations use hormones that are chemically identical to those naturally produced by the body. Medications may be compounded in various forms, such as creams, oral capsules, lozenges, or solutions, based on the provider’s guidance.

This model exists to serve a distinct purpose: when a commercially available medication does not meet a patient’s clinical needs, whether because of the dose, the delivery format, or a documented clinical requirement determined by the provider, compounding offers a path to a more individualized formulation.

Our team works directly with providers, telehealth platforms, and individual patients to make prescribing and fulfillment as clear and efficient as possible. For providers in Michigan and beyond, MediVera offers a streamlined workflow and same-day order processing on most business days.
