About PT-141 (Bremelanotide)
PT-141, also known as bremelanotide, is a synthetic peptide analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH), a naturally occurring signaling molecule. As a drug class, melanocortin receptor agonists act on central nervous system pathways that have been studied in the clinical and research literature in connection with sexual arousal signaling. Any mechanism described is attributed to the peptide as characterized in that literature, not to any specific compounded preparation.

Medication Information + Usage
Intranasal spray, compounded concentration (commonly 1 mg/mL to 10 mg/mL).
Intranasal: instill the prescribed number of sprays per nostril as directed, per provider instructions and timing. Maximum 8 doses per month.
Store in the refrigerator (36°F to 46°F / 2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze.
