Oxytocin

About Oxytocin

Oxytocin is a naturally occurring peptide hormone produced in the hypothalamus and released by the posterior pituitary gland. As a hormone class, oxytocin and its synthetic analogs have been studied in the clinical and research literature in connection with neuroendocrine signaling pathways. Any mechanism described is attributed to the hormone as characterized in that literature, not to any specific compounded preparation.

Compounded Oxytocin can be prepared based on the prescriber’s clinical judgment and the individual patient’s needs. Each formulation is prepared at MediVera Compounding Pharmacy™ following USP 795, 797, and 800 standards using active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) sourced from FDA-registered suppliers, and is subject to in-house validation protocols before dispensing.
