Yes. All compounded medications from MediVera require a valid prescription from a licensed healthcare provider. They cannot be purchased directly by patients. This requirement exists under both federal law (Section 503A) and state pharmacy regulations. Compounded injectable formulations are sterile preparations that require proper storage. In general, multi-dose injectable vials should be stored under refrigeration (typically 36°F–46°F / 2°C–8°C), protected from light, and used within the beyond-use date on the packaging.
